Frequently Asked Questions

We are here to support you and will walk with you on your journey. Please do not hesitate to ask us a question that you may not see here. We will provide feedback as soon as possible.

How do I schedule an appointment?

Simply call us at (479) 364-0075 or send us a request by email at [email protected]. If you are a medical provider or other professional, you may also fax us a referral at (479) 668-4836. Please give us 24 hours to contact your client/patient.

What is a Good Faith Estimate or No Surprises Act?

Good Faith Estimate for Health Care Items and Services Under the No Surprises Act; Section 2799B-6 of the Public Health Service Act and its implementing regulations, health care providers, health care facilities, and providers of air ambulance services are required to provide a good faith estimate of expected charges for items and services to individuals who are NOT enrolled in a group health plan or group or individual health insurance coverage, or a Federal health care program, or a Federal Employees Health Benefits (FEHB) program health benefits plan (uninsured individuals) or not seeking to file a claim with their group health plan, health insurance coverage, or FEHB health benefits plan (self-pay individuals) in writing (and may also provide it orally, if an uninsured (or self-pay) individual requests a good faith estimate in a method other than paper or electronically), upon request or at the time of scheduling health care items and services. To review the entire document, please visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises/consumers or call 1-800-985-3059 for more information.

Do you send appointment reminders?

Yes, we do! After your appointment is scheduled with one of our counselors, you should receive a text and/or email confirmation of your appointment 48 hours and 24 hours prior to our appointment time.

How often will I need to see my counselor?

The number of sessions will be determined by you and your counselor. Your counselor will make suggestions based on the severity of your symptoms and availability. We will never suggest more than clinically necessary and will tailor treatment to fit your needs.

Does Creative Counseling file insurance and what is accepted?

Our counselors charge a private pay rate of $175 per 1 hour session. We accept Blue Cross Blue Shield, Health Advantage, United Health Care, Aetna, Cigna, Ambetter, Aetna Choice Plus, and several subsidiaries.

As a courtesy, we will verify benefits and submit claims to your insurance provider. PLEASE NOTE that many insurance plans have an out-of-pocket deductible that must be met yearly. It is the responsibility of the client to check with their insurance provider and understand their covered plan. Deductible amounts will be applied per claim until the required out-of-pocket has been met. Benefits are NOT a guarantee of payment. Payment is due at the time services are rendered.

We can not accept Arkansas Medicaid, Medicare or Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield. Our apologies for the inconvenience.

Contact us at (479) 364-0075 for any questions.

Do you have a provider that prescribes medication?

We do not have a prescriber on site; however, we work with some of the BEST
medical providers in Northwest Arkansas! Call our office for a referral (479) 364-
0075.

Are your therapists experienced in treating mental health concerns similar to mine?

Each of our therapists are fully licensed in the State of Arkansas. Individually, our
therapists have at least 20 years of experience in treating a wide variety of mental
health concerns.

Does my therapist have after-hours availability for crisis situations?

Although our therapists are trained to handle crisis situations, they do not have
on-call hours. Some therapists may have arrangements to contact them after
hours if you are in crisis. If you are currently experiencing a psychiatric
emergency, please call 911 or go to your nearest emergency room.

What client population do you see and treat?

Our counselors provide interventions based on the needs of the individual client. We see adults (18+ years), adolescents (13-17 years), and children (5-12 years). We strive to match you with a counselor that will tailor treatment to YOU!
