Creative Counseling Center of NWA understands that you always have a choice in your mental health care. That’s why we are dedicated to providing the very best counseling experience in Northwest Arkansas! Our counselors have over 60 years of combined clinical experience to assist you and your family. We serve people from all age groups including preteens, teens, and adults.
Remember being an awkward 12-year-old kid who just wanted to fit in and sought the approval of others? Being a pre-teen and teenager in this day and age is one of the toughest! While most people cringe at the thought, we LOVE teens! We help with the overwhelming anxiety of school achievement, peer pressures and low self-confidence issues that can follow them into adulthood. So, if you love ADULTING, raise your hand? Yeah, us too! Being an adult comes with jobs, kids, bills, trying to make time for your partner and friends….it’s overwhelming just listing it out! And time for self-care? What’s that?! We get it. There just isn’t enough hours in the day or the energy to run to several different places.
That’s exactly what makes us so different from the rest! We offer a variety of services to meet your needs: Individual counseling, Couples and Marriage counseling, Family counseling, and Group counseling sessions. In keeping with our holistic vision, we also provide assessments to enhance your treatment and care!
Your medical provider may want you to have an assessment completed for symptoms you’ve noticed that interfere with your overall functioning. Our counselors provide assessments on topics such as ADHD, PTSD, Depression, Anxiety, and more. We understand the struggles that all humans face because we’re REAL people with REAL issues, just like you. No matter which service you choose, you can expect to have REAL conversations with an experienced professional that lead to REAL solutions for your life!
Individual therapy provides a safe and trusting environment to discuss issues that can cause stress or interfere with daily life. Therapy can provide tools to manage challenging mental health issues such as depression, anxiety, worry, grief/loss, trauma, anger, and stressful adjustments to name a few. Our compassionate therapists will help you identify underlying causes, identify strategies to challenge unhelpful thoughts and actions, and develop coping mechanisms to bring about positive change.
Relationships can be challenging at times, even for the healthiest of couples. Our therapists can assist couples by utilizing evidence-based theoretical approaches to bring about your desired change. Couples can feel safe sharing their needs and concerns while an experienced counselor is there to help guide conversation, identify road blocks, and promote meaningful connection.
Group therapy provides a unique opportunity for members to share their personal experiences regrading similar circumstances in a trusting and caring environment. Group therapy promotes mutual support among its members as each person works toward their individual goals. It’s not always easy to open share among people you’ve just met. Our experienced therapists will ensure that each group member has an opportunity to connect with others as well as find their comfort level in a safe, confidential, and relaxing environment.
”Due to Covid-19, all groups are temporarily suspended. We will be updating as the situation progresses.”
Did you know? Arkansas ranks among the highest to have the least amount of access to genuine mental health services. Clients were telling us about their craving for real conversations with authentic, caring people who are committed to guiding them toward real solutions for life’s struggles. WE LISTENED. Dedicated to enhancing the mental health and well-being of the residents of Northwest Arkansas, two mothers (who also happened to be licensed counselors) formed Creative Counseling Center of NWA. Our mission is to provide you individually tailored treatment through an all-inclusive, holistic approach.
